God commanded His prophet Jonah to go and warn the wicked city of Nineveh about His coming judgment and offer them a chance to repent. Jonah has refused to go and instead has run away. God sends a storm to prevent Jonah from running away. The sailors end up worshipping God in spite of Jonah, not because of Jonah.
